GADOC is neither a stage school nor a social club, but seeks to provide the Island with consistently high-quality theatrical presentations. This requires the services of talented and dedicated members, and the Club is always delighted to welcome new members willing and able to play a part either on stage or in the vital backstage team

1 Joan Machon Award  for the most promising performer in an under 21 or under 15 cast  - 

        William Annetts-Burke – ‘Bad Reception’ directed by Mike Gaunt, St. Anne’s School, Alderney

 

2. RGI Learning Award for the best performance by an individual under 18 (any age group cast) –

        Stuart Leach – ‘Au Revoir, Sarnia Cherie’, directed by Jane Blower

 

3 St. Stephen’s Players Trophy  for the most outstanding performance by an individual in a supporting role  -

        Sheila Garner  - in ‘Just the Two of Us’, directed by Bob Thompson

 

4 The Rollie Wolley Memorial Trophy for the most outstanding performance by an individual –

        Kathryn Prince in ‘Effie’s Burning’ directed by the cast

 

5 The Elaine Ralls Memorial Trophy for a “Magic Moment” from any entry –  

        The Door in ‘Red Peppers’ directed by Bridget Carey

 

6 Joyce and Cecil Cook Trophy for the Director of the play with the highest overall mark

                                who has never won either the Bucktrout or the Edward Willis Trophies –

        Fiona Colby – ‘Henna Nights’

 

7. The Edward Willis Trophy for the Director with the highest mark for Direction –

        Fiona Colby – ‘Henna Nights’

 

8. The Lee Trophy for the most effective ‘first impression’ created by stage setting –

        ‘Snow White’ directed by Caron Parker

 

9. The Burns Trophy for the original unpublished play with the highest marks  -

        ‘Au Revoir, Sarnia Cherie’ by Ron Blicq, directed by Jane Blower

 

10. The Hazel Rowe Trophy for the Musical Play with the highest overall marks –

        ‘Red Peppers’  directed by Bridget Carey

 

11. The GADOC Jubilee Trophy for the play with the highest marks with the cast aged under 15  -

‘Snow White’ directed by Caron Parker of The Academy of Dance  & Theatre Arts

 

12. The F. W. Thomas Memorial Trophy for the play with the highest marks with the cast aged under 21 -

        no competition

 

13. The Anthony Booth Trophy for the play with the highest marks with an All-Women Cast –

    ‘Effie’s Burning’ directed by the cast

 

14. The Bucktrout Challenge Trophy for the play with the highest marks –

        ‘Effie’s Burning’ directed by the cast

 

15. The Audience Award Salver for the play which receives the most votes

                        from the holders of Season Tickets who have seen all the plays –
